He is doing absolutely great. In fact, when we went to the doctor a week ago to check his ears, our Pediatrician was amazed at how well he is developing. He is ahead of the curve in motor skills, which is a miracle! That was the main thing the doctors have been worried about because he lived for nearly 3 months fully blind. We've just had to wait and see how he was going to develop, and we are very pleased! Thanks again for all those prayers. Prayers really work!
As you can tell, he's getting ready to crawl. He can get up on his hands, and he can get up on his knees. It's just a matter of time before he puts them both together.
And he's still in love with his "brudder," and his "brudder" is still in love with him!
Speaking of "brudder," he has reached two HUGE milestones. We gave up the passy, and he is fully potty trained!!!!!
As far as the passy goes, we talked it up for weeks that he was going to get a prize for giving it up, and the day finally came. We gave him a choice between his passy and this (sometimes you have to do what you have to do)...
You see what he chose! :)
And "brudder" enjoys watching him play in the water!
(check out the nasty bib!)
In all honesty, we were going to take his passy shortly after his second birthday, but with Grant coming we were afraid he would try to take Grant's (he was extremely attached to that thing), so we waited. He's doing great. It helps that he was also extremely attached to his blankie, that he still has (and will for as long as he wants it!) He does ask occasionally, but we just remind him he doesn't have it anymore and he seems fine! And we play in the new pool every day almost to help take the pain away!
I think it's working! Until next time, we'll just be spending our afternoons swimming and watching for Daddy to come home!
