FINALLY!!!

Jacob was dedicated! We went to Prattville Sunday morning for my Dad to be able to do it. It was incredibly sweet. He used the same book my grandad used to dedicate me 25 years ago! It was a very sentimental day! Poor Wayne, he was really having a hard time with his son having a "dress" on. :) I assured him over and over, "It's a gown, not a dress!"

Then, we headed back home so Br. Kevin could do it Sunday night at Valley Creek. It was a very busy day, but well worth it!
"Train a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not turn from it."
Proverbs 22:6

  1. yay!!! I like his gown...it looks like a very breathable cotton. Layla's gown was made by Mrs. Claire with the material from her wedding gown (which she had hand made herself). She had enough to make one for us and one for Kevin and Carrie (plus there is still a little material to use on a gown for Tim someday....it was very sweet, but the material was such that Layla was just burning up! Anyway, I'm so happy for you guys...he is absolutely beautiful, and i don't think i could have kept myself together if my dad was dedicating my daughter with the same bible used for me...wow! So So So cool!
